Lydia Ko will join New Zealand Golf for 34th Queen Sirikit Cup in Singapore

Nz has won the Queen Sirikit Cup on three occasions previously current quality of the team they head to the Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore from April 23 27 filled with confidence of contending again.

The three golfers demonstrate great form in 2012 and will prepare for case between 14 nations from your Asia Pacific region  that's officially referred to as the Amateur Ladies Asia-Pacific Invitational Golf Team Championship.

Ko (Northern coast) took over as the youngest winner in golf history when she won the NSW Open and before that was the youngest winner on record on the Australian Amateur. She also joined with taylormade burner superfast 2.0 fairway wood Cecilia Cho to become joint winners from the Australian Foursomes title.

Perry (Lochiel) was the joint first round leader with the ISPS Handa NZ Women's Open hosted by Christchurch having a superb five under par 67 then backed that up by finishing joint runner up in the Riversdale Cup.

Cassidy (Tokoroa) would have been a standout performer with the recent Trans-Tasman Cup with the Peninsula Club in Melbourne where she won two matches in a very well-beaten New Zealand team.

Nz Golf Talent and Coach Development Manager Gregg Thorpe believed this trio has the experience at the international level to be competitive.

Lydia's record speaks by itself though Emily's performances at the two amateur and high end continuing to impress, and Chantelle's recent 6th place with the Riversdale Cup then a successful Trans-Tasman, this team is in a position to contend for the Queen Sirikit Cup,said Thorpe.

Looking in the winning team's performances over the last number of years it is obvious these three hard working players will need to combine well and turn into near the top of their respective games however do believe victory is within their grasp.

There is hope that they'll compete in Singapore and in many cases compare to replicating your time and effort of Taylormade R11 fairway wood New Zealand's newest win in 1999.

The brand new Zealand team of Lisa Aldridge, Renee Fowler and Tina Howard won the title from Chinese Taipei in a very playoff at Paraparaumu Beach.

I was the assistant professional at the Paraparaumu Beach Golf-club the last time Nz Golf Club won this event so I determine what it may need because of these players to look at this highly prized title just about all reminds me of how much time it's been since the discount golf clubs last win; it's time and energy to take this title again!

Ko and Perry are returning for their third and second Queen Sirikit Cup performances respectively as soon as they, alongside Cecilia Cho, finished fifth on the 2011 event in the Delhi Golf and Country Club in India, 11 shots back from the winners Korea.
